Position Overview :

Seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support our SITE III ITS Task Order effort and will be responsible for orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of mission applications and services for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The ideal candidate will be responsible for all Operation & Maintenance (O&M) tasks and maintaining operational baselines and performance of application O&M activities to include patching, database performance monitoring, and customer support. When necessary, the candidate will troubleshoot database performance issues and recommend appropriate action.

Candidate will work closely with members of the project team, product subject matter experts, end-users, and software engineers to ensure that the application remains operational by monitoring performance, providing technical assistance, and consultation to users. Additional duties will include supporting system administrators, developing tools to assist in management of systems, ensuring application documentation (e.g., System Administration Guides, SOPs, Installation Procedures, etc.), and performing daily application / database backups.

Education / Experience : Requires 8 years with BS / BA, or 6 years with MS / MA, or 4 years with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
