Expected Schedule :

Flexible with scheduling.

Responsibilities

Including but not limited to :

Instruct and promote youth and adult climbing wall programs at BASE.

Follow all CWA climbing wall safety standards, rules, and procedures.

Build community through climbing wall programs.

Assess climbing wall equipment regularly for safety.

Assist with special events including but not limited to Halloween Costume Climb and community bouldering competitions.

Assist with climbing wall training for BASE staff members.

Provide orientations to passholders to learn how to safely use auto belays, top roping, and bouldering wall.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Climbing Wall Instructor will be part of the BASE Team, plays a vital role in ensuring that

climbing wall users can use the wall in a safe manner while learning new skills. The BASE Climbing

Wall Instructor may also be asked to teach specialty climbing courses throughout the year. The

Climbing Wall Instructor should be comfortable working with youth and adults with a wide range

of climbing skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• CPR and First Aid Certified
• CWI certified (Level 1 and 2)

BSCO may be open to arranging a certification class for interested candidates who are not currently certified
