GENERAL NATURE OF WORK :

Under general to limited supervision, performs social services functions at an advanced level for individuals enrolled in an intensive residential treatment setting for addictive diseases. Responsibilities include :

• Completion of complex psychosocial assessments
• Participation in treatment teams
• Treatment planning, monitoring, and discharge planning

Provides group and individual counseling / therapy to individuals requiring complex interventions, including those who are dually diagnosed, homicidal, suicidal, or exhibit life-threatening behaviors. Determines the necessity for involuntary commitment, may execute orders of involuntary commitment, and provides clinical training to professional social services staff. Performs assessments for court depositions, legal proceedings, and eligibility determinations. Will directly supervise professional and / or para-professional social services staff, providing clinical oversight of the Touchstone Program.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists AND two years of post-licensure experience providing therapeutic counseling, case management, coordination services, and assessments for court depositions, legal proceedings, and / or eligibility determinations.
