Director of Surgical Services

  • Full-Time | Days | No Weekends Location :

|Hopewell, VA Salary : $96,137 - $153,816 per year (Based on Experience) Bonus : 15% Director Bonus Sign-On & Relocation Bonuses : Negotiable About the Role We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead perioperative operations in a 140+ bed acute care facility .

  • This leadership position provides strategic oversight, operational management, and clinical excellence to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical services .

    • Responsibilities Provide 24 / 7 leadership for the Operating Room, Sterile Processing, Pre / Post-Op, PACU, and Endoscopy Oversee 4 ORs, 3 Endoscopy Rooms , and a strong orthopedic and general surgery program Develop and implement strategic plans for growth and efficiency Manage budgeting, financial planning, and capital equipment requests Ensure regulatory compliance, quality, and safety within surgical services Foster physician relationships and team engagement Monitor case volume (7-26 cases per day) and manage on-call surgical services Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN required) Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred 3+ years of leadership experience in Surgical / OR management (REQUIRED) Active RN License in Virginia (or Compact / Multi-State License) CNOR (Certified Nursing Operating Room) preferred CSSM (Certified Surgical Services Manager) preferred Why Apply?
