Location : West Philadelphia & Southwest Philadelphia
Pay Range : $18.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on education, certification, and experience)

What You’ll Do as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Work one-on-one with children and adolescents to teach coping, communication, and social skills.
Implement individualized behavior support plans under clinical supervision.
Encourage positive behaviors and reinforce progress using structured strategies.
Collect behavioral data, record session notes, and communicate updates with your supervisor.
Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development to strengthen your role as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) .

Education & Eligibility Paths
You can qualify for the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) position through one of the following :
High school diploma or GED plus completion of a 40-hour online training (provided by Dunbar) and 2 years of experience with children or in behavioral health.
Associate’s degree or 60 college credits and 1 year of experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field.
RN , RBT , BCAT , or equivalent certification.
Certification Requirement : Must earn RBT, BCAT, or equivalent within 18 months (Dunbar provides training and supervision).
Clearances : PA child abuse, criminal, and FBI checks; CPR / First Aid certification.
