What To Expect
Tesla Display Team is looking for a Display Optical Engineer for the development and qualification of LCD / OLED Displays for Tesla vehicles infotainment system. This individual will be working on LCD / OLED display system development at the component and system level to drive design optimization, serving as a focal point between Product Design, Software, Global Supply Management, Supplier Quality, Reliability, Tesla factory, and the display suppliers, managing all activities necessary from initial concept to production to deliver displays into Tesla vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Manage display suppliers as the primary technical contact window to drive the best electro‑optical design and implementation
- Design and define the display electro‑optical system for new projects and validate the display design
- Perform the characterization, measurement, test and evaluation of display panel and module both in electrical / optical performance
- Identify any visual issues, perform the root cause analysis and provide recommendations to resolve any outstanding issues
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including display ME, system EE, system FW, display Validation and other expertise
- Perform the necessary measurements / failure analyses and review results from the display vendors, module vendors, and cross‑functional groups at Tesla to ensure the performance specifications are met
- Identify all open engineering issues and drive suppliers to closure in a timely fashion to support project needs
- Ensure display deliverables are met for engineering builds and initial ramp
- Address issues from initial ramp and field returns related to displays
What You'll Bring

$118,320 - $273,480 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
