We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney with a focus on Creditors’ Rights to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to work on complex and high-profile cases in the legal industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in foreclosure, mortgage enforcement, and creditors’ rights, with a proven track record of representing financial institutions, lenders, and creditors in all stages of litigation.
Responsibilities :
As a Commercial Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
1. Representing creditors, financial institutions, and lenders in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.
2. Handling all aspects of commercial litigation, including trial, arbitration, and appellate work.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of legal documents related to foreclosure and mortgage enforcement.
4. Developing and implementing effective legal strategies to protect clients' rights and interests.
5. Providing sound legal advice to clients on complex issues related to creditors’ rights, foreclosure, and mortgage enforcement.
6. Staying updated with the latest changes in laws and regulations related to creditors’ rights.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the best representation for our clients.
8. Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
9. Participating in business development activities, including client meetings, conferences, and seminars.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Commercial Litigation Attorney – Creditors’ Rights position will have the following qualifications :
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation with a focus on creditors' rights, foreclosure, and mortgage enforcement.
3. Admission to the NY state bar and in good standing.
4. Proven track record of successfully representing clients in complex commercial litigation cases.
5. Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong legal research and writing skills.
7. Ability to handle multiple cases and meet tight deadlines.
8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
12. Willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings.
