About The Position We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Dec 5, 2025. This role features a variable schedule with clinic and call responsibilities, including weekday and weekend coverage, and requires proficiency in endoscopic and vessel harvesting techniques. Job Details Location : Pennsylvania Start Date : Dec 5, 2025 LOA : 90 days Provider Type Needed : Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant Schedule : Clinic and call; hours to be determined. Call ratio 1 : 2, out-of-house call with 30-minute response time. Call back percentage : 25%. Responsibilities and Duties Perform independent endoscopic and vessel harvesting, including radial and atrial vein harvesting Assist with CABG EVH, open vessel harvesting, TAVR, TACR, vascular surgery, and ECMO procedures Efficiently support CVOR and vascular surgery cases Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, draping, and surgical procedures Provide wound exposure, closure, and dressing application Appropriately handle tissue and manipulate surgical instruments Tie sutures, apply surgical dressings, and perform wound vac and minor debridements Operate complex surgical equipment, including lasers, robots, sterilizers, and diagnostic devices Additional Information Must have Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license Required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required Must have experience with atrial vein harvesting Not accepting unlicensed candidates at this time Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
