Physician Assistant

A Well-established Rheumatology Practice in Houston, Texas is seeking to add a Physician Assistant.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned :

• Provide competent care to individuals scheduled to be evaluated and treated by you.
• Assess current and potential health problems.
• Make sound clinical judgements based on assessment of physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental needs of the patient.
• Analyze health behaviors related to personality, lifestyle, and culture.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as laboratory test and x-rays.
• Perform medical procedures as necessary.
• Provide teaching, counseling and assistance to individuals and their family members in order to prevent illness to promote wellness, maintenance and restoration of health.
• Knowledge of medicines in treating rheumatologic conditions and related illness
• Assisting to maintain patient pharmaceutical assistance.
• Develop and implement therapeutic plans to promote satisfactory patient outcomes.
• Consult, refer to, and collaborate with other disciplines involved in the delivery of total patient care.
• Triage patient phone calls and provide necessary advice and or treatment plan
• Assist in the design, implementation and evaluation of research activities pertinent to the Practice.
• Function as a team member so as to promote comprehensive patient care while maintaining safe, high quality, accessible health care to all patient of Philip A. Waller, MD & Associates.
• Participating in cleanliness and organization of medicine and exam rooms.
