Job Summary
The successful candidate will engage in the installation, removal, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical components such as pumps, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), relays, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and other equipment used in water and wastewater systems.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
- Engages in the installation, removal, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical components.
- Maintains and repairs electrical control equipment, lighting, telemetry systems, and mechanical components at treatment plants, lift stations, well sites, and throughout the water system.
- Participates in preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
- Repairs, installs, and removes lighting fixtures, including ballasts and components.
- Performs troubleshooting on both mechanical and electrical issues in various equipment.
- Completes and maintains necessary documentation such as work orders, reporting major problems and ensuring stock levels of required tools and equipment.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED.A minimum of four years of experience in the electrical industry with supplementary experience in the mechanical field.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, equipment manuals, and operating instructions.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel and the ability to learn new computer programs as required.Familiarity with using a voltmeter, amperage meter, winch, hoist, and other relevant tools for electrical and mechanical work.Completion of Lock Out / Tag Out and electrical safety training is required before employment.Must possess a Colorado driver's license and be insurable by District standards.Attractive Benefits Package :
