Operations Manager
Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of personnel at either a large site or multiple small sites to ensure the timely, accurate, and quality delivery of customer goods and service.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor backorder reports and production scheduling and coordinate resources to ensure minimal backorders while ensuring product quality and service reliability.
- Create inventory transfers and production orders to meet established schedules and service levels, completing all required documentation and electronic receipts of finished goods in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee day-to-day supply chain and distribution operations, ensuring proper staffing coverage across all shifts, accurate order fulfillment, timely reordering, and adherence to established stocking procedures.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and monitoring of reorder points to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure all automated systems, equipment, and material handling tools are functioning properly and that preventive maintenance is completed as needed.
- Oversee delivery verification, quality checks, and product inspections to confirm order accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Conduct route and system audits to ensure adherence to site-specific SOPs and process compliance.
- Provide daily operational oversight, including scheduling, shift handovers, and coordination across teams to maintain workflow continuity.
- Ensure hospital staff and customers receive consistent, professional service by maintaining effective communication, issue resolution, and escalation protocols.
- Review and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor and report on team and operational performance, providing data-driven insights to management on labor utilization, supply shortages, and service metrics.
- Maintain safety and quality standards by ensuring compliance with infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines, and by removing expired or damaged materials from circulation.
- Conduct site audits and annual physical inventories while ensuring that all storage, handling, and transport processes meet hospital and company standards.
- Travel to new or existing customer sites within the region to train staff, establish procedures, evaluate operations, and implement best practices.
Management responsibilities :
Direct and coordinate daily activities of assigned staff to achieve operational goals in productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.Hire, train, and develop employees, ensuring ongoing education in inventory systems, safety procedures, and equipment handling.Conduct interviews, evaluate candidate qualifications, and provide recommendations for hiring decisions based on technical and interpersonal skills.Monitor and approve timekeeping, manage payroll submissions, and review labor reports to control overtime and maintain budget alignment.Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.Promote teamwork, positive communication, and professional conduct within the work environment.Ensure consistent application and interpretation of organizational policies and disciplinary procedures.Lead team meetings, maintain open communication channels, and ensure all employees are informed of operational priorities, safety updates, and performance expectations.Address employee or operational issues promptly, applying conflict resolution and escalation protocols as needed.Ensure compliance with all company policies, hospital standards, and applicable regulatory requirements across all operational activities.Requirements :

The anticipated salary range for this position : $52,000.00 - $75,400.00 Annual. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and / or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
