Cardiology Physician Qualifications

Board Certification in Internal Medicine – Cardiology (required for cardiology jobs)

Active, unrestricted physician license (Wisconsin preferred)

ACLS certification (required)

Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing cardiologist

Experience in both outpatient and inpatient cardiology settings

Completion of Cardiology Fellowship (required)

Ability to manage a patient load of 25–30 per shift

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Cardiology Physician Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive cardiology care to inpatient and outpatient populations

Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care

Participate in a 7 on / 7 off schedule with 2 nights of call per week

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records

Contribute to a positive and supportive healthcare work environment
