Job descriptionDoes masking of components using masking tape and / or paper to protect from overspray. The ability to disassemble units and accessories prior to prepping and painting. Identifying to particular jobs. Uses a variety of individually supplied hand tools such as sockets, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. Must be able to prepare parts for painting by cleaning, sanding, taping and hanging. Checks and makes sure surface is adequately prepared for painting. Keeps paint equipment in clean, working order. Cleans work area on a daily basis. A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required. Must be able to communicate effectively, get along with co-workers, and deal with colleagues effectively and professionally. Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Autonomy - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word. Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely. Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures. Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. Enthusiastic - Ability to bring energy to the performance of a task. Initiative - Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal. Judgment - The ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information. Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task. Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy. Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct. Self-Motivated - Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative. Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. 1 year experience in the field of paint prep preferred. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. and bend or stoop over to access parts at or near floor level. Must be able to use a variety of hand tools, shop equipment such as sockets, screwdrivers, wrenches, electric and air sanding tools, forklift and overhead crane. Must possess good mechanical knowledge and skills. Must understand blueprints.
