Public Works Foreman –

Butler Township, Adams County, PA

Full-Time | 40 Hours / Week

Butler Township, Adams County, is seeking a qualified, motivated, and experienced individual to serve as our next Public Works Foreman. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offering the opportunity to lead and manage essential municipal services.

Position Summary :

The Public Works Foreman is responsible for all functions of the Public Works Department, including road maintenance, stormwater management, vehicle and equipment upkeep, snow removal, and general township infrastructure. This leadership role involves supervising public works staff, planning and executing projects, budgeting, and coordinating with township officials and contractors.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Technical degree preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public works, construction, or related field, including supervisory experience
• Knowledge of road construction / maintenance, stormwater systems, heavy equipment operation, and snow removal practices
• Valid PA driver's license (Class A Preferred) (CDL Class B Required)
• Forklift license recommended
• Heavy Equipment Operator License Recommended
• Welding / Electrical / Carpentry certificates helpful
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
