As our Press Operator Apprentice, you’ll gain foundational skills in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a printing press while supporting a team committed to excellence and mission impact.

In this role, you won’t just learn to operate machinery—you’ll build hands-on expertise that prepares you for a full Press Operator role, contributing directly to the production of materials that support our global ministry.

What You’ll Do

• Learn Press Operations : Work under the direction of a qualified Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain printing presses.
• Ensure Safety : Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with lockout / tagout protocols.
• Maintain Quality : Adhere to quality control guidelines, SOPs, and process checklists to ensure high-quality output.
• Prepare for Production Runs : Assist in reviewing job specifications, setting up the press, and inspecting key press systems.
• Monitor Paper Flow : Load paper, operate paper joggers, and perform necessary paper transfers during production.
• Support Maintenance Tasks : Collaborate with Press Operators and Press Assistants on routine and preventive maintenance.
• Learn Printing Skills : Gain hands-on experience with measuring color and alignment, and learn to spot and correct common print issues.
