Lead Mechanic

• _for a full-time in-house mechanic. Since July of 2022, Heavenly Coach has been under new ownership and our business is continuing to experience rapid growth. As our mechanic, and lead of the shop, you will be responsible for maintaining our growing fleet of late model buses and stretched limousines.

• Responsibilities :
• Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Diagnosis and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Identify worn and damaged parts all parts to include major components, repairing, adjusting, or replacing as needed.
• Troubleshoot and perform complex wiring repairs and diagnose and repair any electronic issues.
• Weld and solder as needed for repairs.
• Perform tire services, including mounting and rotation.
• Maintain vehicle records by documenting services and repairs.
• Follow all state and federal vehicle requirements; follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications.
• Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives.
• Respond to calls for service, when needed.

• Qualifications :
• Minimum 5 years practical experience with commercial buses or trucks
• Highly proficient in the repair and diagnosis of all aspects of commercial buses and trucks, such as diesel engines, transmissions; electrical systems, HVAC systems, steering systems, and brake parts.
• ASE Certified, Master Tech certifications and / or diesel training certifications preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job (job requires frequent lifting / moving up to 50lbs, climbing, stooping, kneeling, seeing, grasping, hearing, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance and work in a safe and alert manner.
• CDL license preferred but not required.
