Activation Consultant
The Activation Consultant position will be a part of the team that delivers the CareIntellect suite of products, including Command Center. This role will work as part of a client delivery team to activate hospital Command Center software and related process improvement work to help providers achieve next level performance. The Consultant will be responsible for evaluating current workflows, designing new processes and roles, and activating the software with care teams. The Consultant will own and personally deliver pieces of the overall client engagement.
Client facing role; responsible for the delivery of consultancy and software activation services at a client site(s) specifically in the hospital acute care setting. Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area such as hospital operations. Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the broader strategy. Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions / parameters. Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Essential responsibilities include providing consulting services to a client and to help achieve business objectives. Independently collects, validates, analyzes and synthesizes data to support engagement objectives. Plans and completes assigned work within the engagement with high quality on time. Prepares and delivers succinct, clear and insightful executive-level presentations. Proactively identifies client needs and assist in developing solutions. Facilitates effective, cross-functional working sessions with clients and GE stakeholders. Establishes credibility and develops relationships with mid-level client managers. Serves as a professional representative of GE Healthcare in all public and client settings. Accountable for the quality of own work. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. Travel expectation : 75%-80%.
Required qualifications include a Masters Degree related to Health Sciences or 1-3 years relevant experience, basic awareness and understanding of the Healthcare industry ideally in the acute care / hospital clinical operations, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Power Point, strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills, strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills, dependable : able to work independently and consistently meet or exceed performance expectations, adaptable : able to adjust work and communication style based on situational needs, and demonstrate an aptitude for critical thinking to included evaluation of ideas and synthesizing information into insights.
Desired characteristics include ability to create impactful client facing communications and presentations, deep patient flow and hospital operations expertise, demonstrated data mining and analytical skills (e.g. using tools such as SQL), demonstrated experience in Change Management tools, demonstrated experience in LEAN or Six Sigma tools, and ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
