Job Summary

Outcomes is a digital health technology company connecting Payers, Pharmaceutical manufacturers, and Pharmacies to enhance patient outcomes and close gaps in the healthcare system. Outcomes provides Medication Adherence and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services through various digital channels. With 48K connected pharmacies and 400M patient engagements, there are ample opportunities to harness your creativity to reduce healthcare costs and improve patient care.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and implementing Data Solutions, Automation, and BI Self-Service capabilities for Outcomes' business. In this technical role, you will partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, collaborate with other Data engineers, BI developers, and product engineers to create data pipelines, and convert raw data into meaningful business insights, metrics, reports, and dashboards.

You will utilize cutting-edge cloud technologies to help migrate legacy analytics solutions to modern platforms. You will implement and operationalize large-scale Data and Analytics solutions using Cloud and SaaS technologies such as AWS RedShift, Glue, Sigma Computing, and Databricks. You will engage in hands-on implementation and support build and run operations.

You'll thrive in small, cross-functional teams that embrace agile methodologies, follow data best practices, and focus on automation and self-service to democratize data throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with business users and subject matter experts to implement Data Analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and product teams to define requirements and deliver high-value data products.
  • Participate in Data and Analytics discovery to establish feasibility of new use cases.
  • Design or suggest improvements to optimize existing solutions.
  • Implement and test solutions to meet business criteria.
  • Deploy and enhance solutions.
  • Run and maintain operations for Data and Analytics solutions.

Develop and maintain complex Data pipelines, ETL processes, reports, and dashboards.

  • Build and enhance Data Pipelines to ingest data.
  • Own and improve ETL processes for Data Warehouses.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain CICD artifacts.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Document processes.
  • Automate and enable self-service Data Solutions.

  • Migrate legacy Datawarehouses and ETL processes to modern BI platforms.
  • Automate manual processes.
  • Enable self-service Data Solutions for faster insights.
  • Support and maintain Data and Analytics solutions.

  • Troubleshoot production issues.
  • Implement enhancements and fixes.
  • Operationalize data extracts, pipelines, reports, and dashboards.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Support production systems, including on-call responsibilities.
  • Mentor team members.
  • Develop software with a security-first mindset, ensuring secure coding and handling of sensitive data like PHI.

    Knowledge & Requirements

  • Strong experience in Data Engineering, Modeling, and Data Warehousing.
  • Experience in ETL design, development, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, data analysis.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS.
  • Experience with AWS Data Services (RedShift, Glue).
  • Knowledge of Sigma Computing, Qlik, Databricks, GenAI, LLM, AI tools, React is a plus.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, development, testing, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of cloud services, AI tools, DevOps.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare tech, PHI, HIPAA.

  • Passion for data.
  • Education & Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related fields.
  • 4+ years in Data Warehousing, Data Pipelines, ETL, SQL.
