Our clients are adults aged 21 or older with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families, served through the Pennsylvania State Program known as the Adult Autism Waiver (AAW). This program is designed to help adults with ASD engage with their communities in ways that best suit their identified needs.

o This business is based in Columbia, but you would be driving from your home to meet with the clients in their homes and or community locations. The areas we serve are Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Northumberland, Perry, and York.
We will pair you with clients that are within an approximate 45-minute commute or less.
Behavior Support Specialist (BS) :
Address challenges related to social skills, communication, sensory impairments, and implement specialized interventions to enhance independence and community participation.
Ensure consistent implementation of the Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) and Crisis Intervention Plan (CIP), focusing on positive behavior strategies across all environments.
Support the participant, and family members or guardians to understand the BSP's purpose, objectives, methods, and documentation, evaluate its effectiveness, and review recommended revisions.
Provide crisis intervention during acute behavioral episodes that pose significant risk 24 / 7.
Transport the consumer to local appointments encouraging health and healthy behaviors.
Monitor and analyze data collected during BSP implementation based on set goals.
Modify the BSP or CIP as necessary based on data analysis, potentially conducting a new Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA).
Using Jot Form report the activities and goals attainment of the participant from the session.
Analyze data from the direct sessions and create and maintain a goal attainment chart for every goal in the BSP.
Use the goal attainment chart data collection sheet to complete a quarterly progress note to support coordinators about how the BSP is being implemented.
