Ramsey County Bar Association Placement Service is seeking an experienced paralegal for a reputed law firm specializing in Family Law, with offices in Maplewood and Plymouth. The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in family law and will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to attorneys throughout the legal process.

Duties

• Assist three attorneys who focus on family law, HRO / OFP's. Appellate and Juvenile Law.
• Assist attorneys / mediators in the alternative dispute resolution process, like mediation, FENE / SENE, and arbitrations.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings related to family law cases.
• E-Filing and E-Service
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and organize documents for discovery production.
• Manage case files through document management systems
• Meet with clients and gather pertinent information.
• Maintain communication with clients regarding case updates and necessary documentation.
• Assist with discovery demands and organize documents for discovery production
• Prepare balance sheets and run child support calculations

Skills

Compensation : Dependent on Experience = $70,000-$100,000 per year.

Schedule / Location : Generally, 8 : 30 am – 4 : 30 pm Mon-Fri. This is primarily a remote position, although the firm has offices in both Maplewood and Plymouth for in-person meetings, when required.
