Project Manager, Continuous Improvement
Seattle Public Schools (SPS) is committed to providing every student with an equitable, high-quality education that prepares them for success in school, in their career, and life. We believe this work requires more than strong instructional practices; it requires a systems-wide commitment to continuous improvement, evidence-based decision-making, and operational excellence. Every change we make must be intentional, equity-driven, and aligned to our Board-adopted goals and guardrails.
The Project Manager, Continuous Improvement, is a pivotal role in this vision. This position leads strategic, cross-departmental initiatives that improve processes, streamline operations, and enhance alignment between district systems and the Board's long-term student outcome goals. Working under the direction of the Chief of Student Supports, this leader will ensure that improvement work is both operationally sound and academically impactful.
A unique strength of this role is its deep integration of data analysis and strategic inquiry. The Project Manager will not only work with existing data. Still, he will also help develop the right questions to ask, questions that reveal the root causes of challenges and guide the selection of meaningful, predictive metrics. This requires an ability to connect analytics to action, ensuring that projects and solutions are backed by solid evidence and that decision-making reflects both quantitative and qualitative insights.
One of the significant responsibilities of this role will be to lead Seattle Public Schools through districtwide accreditation processes. This includes developing systems and project plans that meet accreditation standards, gathering and analyzing evidence of impact, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment between accreditation work and Board goals / guardrails. The successful candidate will be able to explain how accreditation efforts are not a compliance exercise clearly, but a strategic driver of student success and equity, fully integrated into Continuous School Improvement Plans (CSIPs), district guardrails, and long-term strategic priorities.
