Security Officer - Government Site Patrol - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Government Site Patrol - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Pay Rate : $21.20 / Hour

Day Time Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wed 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points within the government facility.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences during patrols.
  • Support emergency preparedness by participating in drills and following established protocols as directed by site management.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
