Description
The MAT Therapist is instrumental in patient's treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. Substance Abuse Therapist's provide high quality, compassionate care through various mediums which include both individual and group counseling sessions.
- Completes and submits all necessary clinical documentation (clinical case notes, psychosocial assessments, and / or treatment plans) within the allotted time frame, and in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Observes all billing requirements (e.g. length of billable sessions, timeliness of paperwork, etc.) Any exceptions must be approved prior by Clinical Director. Clinical Service Ticket / Notes must be turned in on same day as provided service or by the morning of the next business day.
- Observes appropriate protocol regarding scheduling and cancellations.
- Provides clinically appropriate psychotherapy services as dictated by the clinical needs of the client(s), to include individual, group, IOP, family and couples' therapies, within the clinicians' level of expertise. Seeks consultation and supervision as needed.
- Reviews all available new case information for each new case assigned.
- Attends and participates in all required meetings including supervision, client treatment teams, Quality Assurance, and / or NMS committees.
- Proficiently communicates with team members.
Attends weekly clinical supervision individual and / or group.
Independently licensed clinicians attend one hour clinical supervision / consultation per month.Non-independently licensed clinicians attend two hours clinical supervision / consultation per monthMaintains all required continuing education for specific position and meets all licensing requirements by State Boards for their respective discipline.Collaborates with co-workers and supports a healthy and professional team atmosphere. Refers for appropriate services within and outside Agency, as needed.Complies with all HIPAA requirements.Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programsQualifications
Education and Experience :
Education : Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.Licensure : Current or eligible for licensure (LCSW / CSW, LMFT / LMFTA, LPCC / LPCA, or equivalent) in Kentucky.Experience : Proven experience working with clients in MAT or related substance use recovery programs.Skills : Knowledge of MAT protocols and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.Strong ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients.
Collaborative approach with healthcare teams.Proficiency in clinical documentation and record-keeping.Preferred Knowledge : Understanding of co-occurring disorders and integrated treatment modelsWe offer :
