Job Description:

Location : Raleigh NC

Duration : 6 months plus C2H

Visa : USC & GC only

PROJECT: Supporting OptumCare strategic initiatives in a crucial role to drive cloud-based development solutions. The software engineering candidate will be a Subject Mater Expert on diverse and challenging OptumCare engagements to support design, architecture and engineering of new clinical based solutions on a cloud platform.

This will be a software engineering hands on position, partnering with Product Management, Application Development colleagues and Vendor Partners to create clinical capabilities such as clinical referral management, clinical decision support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Health IT space with a focus on Software Engineering, leveraging Agile, DevOps as methodologies to facilitate the software development lifecycle, consulting with end users to evaluate clinical product requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:
• Serve as a primary IT resource for medium-size projects to large-size projects
• Oversees the technologies, tools and techniques used by the team
• Adhere to development standards, security policies and procedures
• Work with the scrum team to get projects developed and implemented
• Provide support and leadership during development sprints across scrum teams
• Ensure that all software developed within your team satisfies the business requirements as specified
• Provide accurate and timely estimates for tasks
• Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
• Solve complex problems and/or conduct complex analyses
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards
• Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
• Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level

IDEAL BACKGROUND:

-Experienced full stack Java developer with significant DevOps automation experience to lead in the creation of an application framework that is extensible and solves core architecture and integration

TOP REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

• 
  Undergraduate degree in IT field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of development and testing experience in Java
  • 5+ years of experience working with relational databases
  • 5+ years working with RESTful services
  • 5+ years of Agile delivery experience
  • 3+ years of Cloud experience
