NW Employment is Partnered with a local Restoration Company in Tualatin, and we are looking to add Carpenters to our team!

Pay- $24-$28+ DOE

Shift- Days, with rotating weekends on call if needed

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in carpentry and experience in various construction tasks. This role requires proficiency with both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively on diverse projects. The Carpenter will play a crucial role in building, repairing, and maintaining structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

  • Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various carpentry tasks.
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials to meet project specifications.
  • Apply plaster and perform construction painting as needed.
  • Ensure all work is plumb and level according to design plans.
  • Install siding and other exterior finishes to enhance building aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople in the restoration industry for comprehensive project execution.
  • Assist in construction estimating by providing input on material needs and project timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of plaster application techniques and construction painting practices is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
  • Prior experience in the restoration industry is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods while working.
