American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a hybrid Emergency and Urgent Care position requiring a WA or compact license and advanced certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hybrid freestanding Emergency Room and Urgent Care setting with 8 beds including 1 trauma / resuscitation room and 6 hall chairs
  • Primarily provides care for both urgent care (60%) and emergency (40%) patient populations
  • Patient census is estimated at 90-100 patients per day
  • Typical patient ratios are 3 : 1 for ER patients; varied ratios for urgent care patients
  • Unit features a fast track and designated triage area where travelers are expected to participate
  • Epic EMR system is used in the unit
  • Evening shifts from 3 : 00 p.m. to 3 : 30 a.m. with every other weekend required
  • No call or floating requirements
  • Holiday coverage is on a rotating basis
  • Facility provides 24 / 7 in-house security
  • Provide nursing care for a diverse patient population in a new freestanding hybrid ER / Urgent Care facility
  • Must draw labs as there is no dedicated phlebotomy staff
  • Unit is supported by a mix of RN, LPN, charge nurse, and mid-level providers
  • Orientation is provided with 12 hours of initial training
  • Patients requiring higher levels of care are transferred to the main hospital as soon as possible
  • Any color scrubs are permitted
  • No prior full-time, part-time, or PRN employment within the past year at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience required
  • Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience with typical emergency room nursing skills and patient care expected
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Two professional references required : one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 years
  • Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
