Job description

Patriot, LLC is looking for a Middleware Admin to join our team for support at the on-site location in Annapolis Junction.

Telework is not permitted.

Requirements :

  • This position includes flexible shift work that rotates based on customer needs, offering exposure to a range of schedules, including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Panama shifts.
  • This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Due to contract parameters, U.S.
  • Citizenship, without dual citizenship, is required. 7+ years of experience as an MQ Administrator.
  • Related experience in middleware administration may be considered.
  • WebSphere, WebLogic, Kafka, RabbitMQ, TIBCO, or similar.

Experience managing enterprise middleware platforms, with proven ability to transfer and apply these skills to IBM MQ.

  • Experience with WebSphere Application Server or equivalent enterprise integration platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to evolving mission requirements and perform additional assigned tasks.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Regularly monitor MQ systems for uptime, performance, and potential issues; ensure smooth operation of queues, channels, and related MQ objects.
  • Manage access, implement security protocols, and ensure that all transmissions meet strict security standards.
  • Provide first-line troubleshooting for MQ-related issues, coordinate with cross-functional support teams, and respond promptly to alerts.
  • Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes to maintain a stable and secure MQ environment.

  • Support backup and recovery procedures, participate in disaster recovery drills, and ensure recovery documentation is accurate and current.
  • Maintain detailed records of MQ configurations, permissions, and troubleshooting efforts in compliance with IT and federal policies.
  • Track usage, monitor system capacity, and recommend adjustments to meet operational needs.   Patriot, LLC is committed to a drug-free workplace.
