You'll balance your time between compliance and planning, focusing on and interacting directly with our clients. These clients will have a heavy focus on flow through entities (i.e., partnerships). The goal is to make you a trusted advisor and role model for our people across multiple teams, making this a great place to develop a diverse network of collaborative colleagues. Responsibilities include preparing or reviewing federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships, providing tax research, tax memoranda drafting, and assisting in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services. You'll identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers, liaise and develop relationships with other service lines and subject matter professionals, build effective long-term relationships with our clients, communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients, maintain your reputation in your field by constantly updating and sharing your technical and best practice knowledge, review the work of more junior staff, and identify and react to risks and opportunities to improve our services and processes.

To qualify for the role, you must have a bachelor's degree in a related field, supported by tax, business or financial planning experience. You must have obtained or have active progress towards a CPA certification or membership in the bar. You should have excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds. You should have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization. Working in a balanced hybrid environment and willingness to travel as needed is required. Ideally, you will have a commitment to continuing your learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis is a plus. Experience with gift, estate and trust tax planning and compliance is a plus.
