As a Certified Medical Assistant, you'll support both clinical and administrative tasks to keep our practice running smoothly. Your day-to-day will include :
Patient Care & Clinical SupportGreet and escort patients to exam roomsTake vitals, record medical histories, and prep patients for examsAssist with procedures like LEEP, colposcopies, IUD insertions, etc.Administer medications and perform injections as directedCollect lab specimens and prepare for testingSterilize equipment and maintain clean exam roomsSupport physicians during exams and proceduresAdministrative Duties
Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-upsMaintain accurate electronic medical records (Epic experience preferred)Help manage insurance forms, billing, and authorizationsCommunicate lab results and care instructions to patientsOrder and stock medical and office suppliesRequirements
Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Extensive clinical OB / GYN knowledge, coupled with ability to proactively implement knowledge.Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.Knowledge of office policies and procedures to accurately answer questions from patients.Knowledge and correct usage of medical terminology.Ability to navigate and effectively use EMR. High school diploma (or GED) required.Must have current medical assistant certification or registration and have ability to maintain certification or registration.Physical Requirements :
