JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Title : Physician Anesthesiology (Cardiac)
  • Job Type : Locum Tenens
  • Location : Williamsport, PA
  • Service Setting : Hospital
  • Coverage Type : Clinical + Call
  • Coverage Period : ASAP Ongoing (start date dependent on credentialing timeline)
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : Mon Fri, 6 : 30a 3 : 30p (9-hour shifts)
  • On-Call Shift Schedule : Weekdays 7p 7 : 30a; Weekends 7a 7a (24-hour), or split 12-hour shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a)
  • Call Type : In-House
  • Call Ratio : 1-2 per week (backup MD available) COVERAGE DATES
  • ASAP Ongoing

PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics : 90% Adults, 10% Pediatrics
  • Patient Volume / Census : Approx. 2 labor epidurals / day, with variable surgical caseloads post 7 PM
  • Admissions : Not applicable
  • Rounding : Not specified
  • Phone Consults : Not applicable
  • Case Mix : General, Cardiac, OB, Pediatrics, Neuro

  • Office Equipment Available : Standard Anesthesiology equipment
  • Specialty Backup Available : CRNAs, 9 MDs onsite

  • Cardiac Anesthesia (Bypass, TEE, open heart surgeries)
  • OB & Pediatric Anesthesia
  • Basic Ortho Blocks

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • MUST PROVIDE NPDB self-query at presentation
  • Licenses : PA or eligible for PA medical license (highly prefer active license or IMLC letter in hand)
  • Board : BC / BE in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible within 3 years of residency)
  • MUST be Anesthesiologist trained and able to perform Cardiac Anesthesiology
  • TEE certification not required but highly recommended
  • DEA : Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year, with recent (within past 2 years) cardia
