Key Job Details – Anesthesiologist Locum Tenens

Location : Atlantic City, NJ (New Jersey anesthesiology jobs)

Practice Setting : Hospital-based, Level II Trauma Center

Assignment Dates : January 2, 2026 – April 3, 2026 (13-week contract)

Position Type : Locum tenens anesthesiologist

Shifts : Varied 8-hour or 12-hour shifts starting at 7am; weekday, night, and weekend call options available (not required)

Hours per Week : 40

EMR System : Cerner

Qualifications – Anesthesiologist Requirements

Board Certification in Anesthesiology (required)

Active New Jersey Medical License (required for NJ healthcare jobs)

ACLS and BLS Certifications (required)

Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia (preferred)

Proficiency in open heart, thoracic (non-open heart), and complex vascular anesthesia cases

Experience with TEE, PA catheter, arterial line, and central line insertion

Experience supervising Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)

Experience using Cerner EMR (preferred)

Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience in hospital or trauma center settings

Responsibilities – Hospital Anesthesiologist

Deliver anesthesia care for general, thoracic, vascular, and open heart surgeries

Perform regional, spinal, and local anesthesia techniques

Manage ventilation and perform TEE, PA catheter, arterial line, and central line insertions

Supervise CRNAs during surgical procedures

Participate in call coverage as needed (weekday, night, and weekend)

Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR system
