Material Handler

PrideStaff is looking for a Material Handler to join our team at a leading roofing supplier in Mooresville, NC. If you have experience in a warehouse environment, enjoy teamwork, and take pride in your work, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Location : Mooresville, NC 28117

Pay Rate : $17.00 per hour

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM

Reports To : Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities

As a Material Handler, you will be a vital part of our warehouse operations, responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and handling of roofing materials. Your duties will include :

  • Operating a forklift to safely load, unload, stack, and move materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
  • Serving as a "floater," working across different departments as needed to support various warehouse functions.
  • Handling materials manually, which includes lifting 50-60 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Assisting with inventory counts, staging materials for delivery, and receiving shipments.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience : 1-2 years of experience in material handling and forklift operation (sit-down or counterbalance preferred).
  • Forklift Certification : A current certification is a plus, but we will provide on-the-job training and certification for the right candidate.
  • Physical Stamina : Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
  • Teamwork : Proven ability to work well with others and function as part of a cohesive team.
  • Work Ethic : Must be detail-oriented, take ownership of tasks, and care deeply about the quality of your work.

    • Requirements

  • Steel-toed boots are required for this position.
  • All other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided by the company.

    • Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $17.00
