This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Preference for 36 hours / week; shifts of 4x10 or 3x12 hours (7 am - 5 : 30 pm; 7 am - 7 : 30 am), including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit needs.

Job Description

The Cath lab is an inpatient and outpatient procedural lab focusing on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients in the upstate New York region. The four Cath labs and three EP labs provide care for adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions. The practice model emphasizes excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction through a collaborative care approach between RN staff and CVTs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pre and post-procedural care in the Cath lab environment.
  • Perform various cardiac interventions, including TAVR, Microclip, Watchmen, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Administer moderate sedation and manage mechanical circulatory support devices such as ECMO, Impella, and IABP.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care and safety.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
  • Moderate sedation training and telemetry experience.
  • Experience with Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, PCI, CTO, and vascular interventions.
  • Mechanical circulatory support experience, including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVAD.
  • Structural heart experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, PFO, ASD, and valvuloplasty.
  • Critical care or cardiac experience is required.
  • RN License (New York License ONLY).
