Must-Have : Minimum of 2 years' experience

Description :

The department has 2 scanners / rooms.

Common types of imaging / studies performed include brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, and cryoablation.

The average number of scans / studies performed per day is 85-100.

The department uses Radnet and Merge PACS for EMR and PACS applications.

Department-specific equipment includes Canon 16 slice and Canon 80 slice scanners.

There is a radiologist in-house during the day and available on call after normal hours.

IVs will be started by an IR nurse when necessary, or by floor and emergency department nurses for their patients undergoing a CT procedure.

Shifts consist of 12 hours, with weekend requirements every other weekend.

Holiday requirements include one major and one minor holiday.

Scrub color is teal, and scrubs are provided.

Department-specific orientation is carried out by the lead technologist or senior technicians.

The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.

Charting is done using the Cerner system.

A BSN degree is not required.

This position does not require stand-by or call duties.
