Job Description : The Large Animal Technician is responsible for the comprehensive care of animals, encompassing essential tasks such as feeding, cleaning, treatment, and preventive medicine. This role plays a pivotal part in the daily production and upkeep of animal areas within the facility, ensuring the well-being and health of the animals under their care.

Responsibilities :

• Provide daily care for large animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their well-being. AM / PM daily.
• Complete daily production which may include injections, bleeding, milking etc.
• Maintain clean and sanitary living environments for animals by regularly cleaning pens, stalls, and animal housing areas.
• Document findings and job completions in the required logs.
• Safely handle large animals for various procedures, including medical treatments, grooming, and transportation.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks to keep the animal facilities in good repair and ensure a safe environment.
• Provide mental and physical stimulation for animals through enrichment activities and environmental improvements.
• Adhere to all relevant animal welfare regulations, industry standards, and facility protocols.
