The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and drive net new pipeline for our sales team. This is a crucial role for our growth, with a primary focus on generating high-quality inbound leads from both paid and organic sources.
This role is for a builder and a leader. You will be responsible for creating an industry-leading content engine from the ground up, positioning Strong CRM as a go-to resource for hot topics in the Salesforce space. While you will initially be an individual contributor, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a small team to help you execute your vision over the next 24-36 months.
Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive inbound pipeline from organic and paid channels.
Establish and refine a world-class content delivery strategy to ensure our owned content reaches the right audience at the right time.
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to expand brand reach and engage with the target audience.
Lead the creation of an extensive library of high-value owned content that resonates with the Salesforce.com ecosystem, including blogs, whitepapers, ebooks, and recorded podcasts.
Build a Demand Generation engine utilizing Pardot.
Collaborate with the CEO and Director of Sales to generate content ideas and insights, but take ultimate responsibility for content production and quality.
Formulate a strategy for content placements and mentions in key publications (e.g., Salesforce Ben) and niche publications relevant to our target industries (e.g., Kitces.com for FinServ).
Manage a dedicated budget for paid advertising, focusing on channels that deliver high-quality, relevant traffic.
Monitor and analyze key marketing metrics to measure campaign effectiveness, optimize spending, and report on pipeline generation.
Lead the future hiring and management of a team to scale the marketing engine.
Qualifications Proven experience in a marketing leadership role, preferably within the B2B or technology sector.
Ability to write and speak with expertise around the Salesforce.com and CRM ecosystem
Experience building out Demand Generation Engines in Pardot
Demonstrated success in creating and executing content strategies that drive inbound lead generation.
Deep understanding of both organic (SEO, content marketing) and paid advertising channels.
Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a passion for creating engaging, high-quality content.
Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Experience with Salesforce or the Salesforce ecosystem is a strong plus.
Details Location : Remote position, with a preference for candidates based in Washington State.
Compensation : On Target Earnings (OTE) of $170,000 per year.
Travel : Up to 20% travel may be required for industry events and team meetings.
