Job Summary
The Business Analyst – Merchandising & Planning Systems serves as the key liaison between business users and technology teams to ensure that merchandising, assortment, and planning systems effectively support business strategies reporting to Director of Enterprise Applications. This role focuses on understanding business needs, optimizing system functionality, and improving the driving process that enhance visibility, accuracy, and efficiency across planning and merchandising operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with merchandising, planning, and IT stakeholders to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for system enhancements.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for planning, forecasting, and merchandising applications.
- Support the implementation, configuration, testing, and rollout of new systems and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct data validation and analysis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of merchandising and planning data.
- Create and maintain process flows, documentation, and training materials to support effective system use and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and business users to troubleshoot issues, streamline workflows, and enhance system performance.
- Drive user adoption and change management through effective communication and engagement with key business teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of experience in business analysis, application support, or systems implementation within merchandising, planning, or supply chain environments.Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements for enterprise applications.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.Experience with process automation, data integration, and system optimization is a plus.Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Definitions of Success
