Senior Accountant
For over 100 years, Spincraft has been utilizing metal spinning and forming to solve its customers' greatest manufacturing challenges. Leading in metal forming solutions partnered for Aerospace, Defense, Energy, and more, Spincraft's mission has formed a division, Engineering Technologies Group (ETG), a part of the global Standex International team, with four locations worldwide. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Senior Accountant partners closely Financial Controllers within multiple business units located in Wisconsin and Massachusetts. This role necessitates strong technical accounting skills with a business-oriented mindset to drive operational reporting, month end closing activities, and financial analysis that supports the division's strategic objectives. This position is located onsite at our Wisconsin office.
What You'll Do :
- Own and maintain month end closing activities for multiple sites, including journal entry preparation, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Develop and distribute daily, weekly, monthly operational reports for the Spincraft Massachusetts and Wisconsin business units including labor utilization, scrap, and rework analysis to support manufacturing leadership in decision making
- Collaborate closely with Financial Controllers and plant leadership teams to provide financial insights and operational performance reporting
- Perform detailed cost accounting reviews to ensure accurate costing and profitability analysis; support cost updated and assist with manufacturing burden analysis / calculations
- Partner with Shared Services for customer invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing aligned with contractual requirements
- Prepare and assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with planning and executing internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely responses to audit requests, and adherence to internal controls
- Support divisional financial reporting needs including preparation of consolidated analysis, variance explanations, and dashboard reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and operational analysis
- Attend meetings and trainings as assigned
- Complete projects as assigned

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required3-5+ years of accounting and / or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment is requiredProficient understanding of US GAAP and internal controls is preferredProficient accounting acumen and demonstrated ability to perform detailed account reconciliations and variance analysisStrong expertise in cost accounting and practice application within a manufacturing businessProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, or similar)Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn other softwareReliable transportationStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skillsDemonstrates high level of Emotional Intelligence when dealing with all levels of the company, clients, and vendorsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build and maintain strong working relationshipsAbility to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to detailsSelf-motivated professional with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamRegularly required to move, sit, and bend for various hours throughout the day
