CentraState Medical Center has an employment opportunity available for a Speech / Language Pathologist . This role is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients who exhibit speech, language, hearing, or swallowing disorders. The Speech / Language Pathologist also offers patient and family counseling and makes appropriate referrals as needed to support comprehensive care and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Effectively evaluates the patient's performance in any communicative disorders.
• Develops appropriate therapeutic plan based on patient assessment and physician's orders.
• Observes patient / resident progress and updates plan as indicated.
• Provides therapy for all types of speech language hearing and swallowing disorders.
• Coordinates care plan with other healthcare providers.
• Provides education to the patient / family regarding the disease processes and planned treatment / intervention. Provides instruction in the areas of health promotion, activity and medication as appropriate.
• Evaluates the patient's progress, goal attainment and need for further services following discharge.
• Documents results of diagnostic evaluations, care plan and Resident progress in medical record.
• Maintains productivity within guidelines set by department.

What We Offer :

Compensation Range : $78,000 - 132,600 annually

The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training.  As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.

Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.

The benefits outlined also reflect CSHS’ policy at the time of posting.  Benefits as are made available to other similarly situated team members of CSHS, although participation is at all times in accordance with and subject to the eligibility and other provisions of such plans and programs.
