Job descriptionOperate bench and grinding tools to finish components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine bench operations. Perform precise grinding using various tools such as files, sanders, and grinders to remove burrs, sharp edges, or excess material from machined or fabricated parts. Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances using measurement tools like calipers and micrometers. Maintain equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to safety procedures and regulations while handling sharp tools and materials. Document work performed and maintain accurate records of production and quality reports. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings Strong attention to detail and quality assurance standards. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if required. Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
