The Accounting Services division provides bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, audit, tax, and other financial services to commercial businesses and Federal and State Government contractors. Limited to candidates who are located in the MD / DC / VA area.

Position Overview :

The Junior Accountant will support the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations, assist with month-end closing, and help ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities :

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
• Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Help with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support audits and compliance activities as needed
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Collaborate with team members and respond to internal and external inquiries
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Description : $45,000 - 57,000

Requirements :
