TRAK Machine Tools (TMT) is a manufacturer of TRAK CNC machines and Proto TRAK CNC controls.  Our headquarters is located Rancho Dominguez, CA, just south of Los Angeles with a second facility located in Henderson, NV. We have established direct and distributor sales / service organizations in America and Europe, with sales expanding in other markets internationally.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Buyer Planner is responsible for placing purchase orders for current, new, and legacy products.  Keep up to date on current orders, past due orders, and lead times for core products.  Supports the companys new product launches and helps facilitate continued sales growth.

DUTIES

• Initiates quotes, purchase orders, and release of products.
• Maintains close communication with suppliers to anticipate market trends, improve deliveries, and lower total cost.
• Assists in the resolution of production, design, quality and / or delivery problems.
• Alerts senior management to potential issues that impact production.
• Collaborates on quality matters and engineering changes / developments between company activities and suppliers.
• Oversees implementation of new parts.
• Manages the disposition of discrepant material.
• Assists in the planning of production among the various departments.
• Plan POs and transfer orders to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Adjust planning parameters to meet current needs.
• Create planning parameters for new products.
• Release orders accounting for time needed to ship machines according to customer requirements
• Other tasks as assigned.
