Shop Hand Technician

Join a dynamic team specializing in architectural sheet metal and exterior building envelope systems. This position involves working with a variety of services such as sheet metal flashing and trim, metal wall and roof panels, exterior wall cladding, soffit panels, translucent and composite wall systems, waterproofing, air barriers, fiber cement siding, and fiberglass sandwich panel assemblies. The work spans across commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, and residential projects.

Responsibilities:

• Operate hand tools and power tools with proficiency.
• Assist in the fabrication and installation of metal panels and systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints to guide project execution.
• Perform maintenance and ensure proper equipment operation.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely.
• Welding duties as required in project specifications.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with equipment operation such as forklifts and scissor lifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• OSHA certification preferred but not required.
• Must not be afraid of heights.
• Experience in welding is a plus.

Work Environment:

Work outdoors in all climate conditions above 20 degrees. Tasks will involve working at heights. The position requires a commitment to safety and adaptability to varying weather conditions. Shifts run from 6am to 4pm, or until the work is completed.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Shawnee, KS.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $47840.00/yr. Not many forced weekends or OT, good company culture, prevailing wage jobs (paid extra).

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Shawnee, KS.
