ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with marketing on collateral materials to promote and sell social events.
- Assists clients in arranging social events by obtaining pertinent details needed for planning.
- Works with the Executive Chef to determine selling prices, menus, and other details for social events.
- Oversees the development of contracts and ensures that pre-planned banquet menu offerings are current and reflect guest interests.
- Coordinates event planning with Operations, ensuring seamless execution.
- Transmits necessary information regarding event details such as printing menus, procuring decorations, entertainment, and other special requests.
- Inspects final event setups and may be present to oversee guest arrival and service.
- Provides hands-on service and orchestrates events when necessary.
- Manages client concerns, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintains past and potential client files and schedules follow-up calls or visits to assess the ongoing needs of prospective clients for social event services.
- Responsible for completing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for each event, ensuring all details are communicated for smooth execution.
- Attends BEO meetings weekly to review upcoming events and coordinate details with staff.
- Communicates any changes made to BEOs to management promptly to ensure all departments are aligned.
- Evaluates past functions to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance future event quality.
- Collaborates with other department managers to plan food and beverage aspects of special events organized by club staff.
- Ensures the JONAS Calendar is accurate and updated with all scheduled social events.
- Manages event contracts along with collecting deposits and payment information.
- Assumes responsibility as manager-on-duty when necessary.
- Participates in professional development opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED; one year of related experience and/or training.
- Two years of experience in catering operations.
- Extensive knowledge of the private club industry’s food and beverage operations
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with supervisory/administrative staff, employees, guests, and the general public.
POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend, and kneel for extended periods, up to 5 hours at a time.
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work hours may include days and evenings on weekdays and weekends, as well as holidays. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. May be exposed to inclement weather, potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, misdirected golf balls, and sharp or rapid equipment movement. Injury may result if safety policies and practices are not properly followed at all times.

Office machines such as personal computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and telephones etc., as well as kitchen and banquet service equipment. Golf clubs and golf carts.
