Position Summary
oSee nephrology patients in the outpatient clinic
Manage care and coverage for family questions between clinic visits.Medication reconciliation and prescription managementParticipate in multidisciplinary clinics, examples may include :oPhoenix Childrenâ€s Kidney Stone Clinic, working with pediatric urology
oPhoenix Childrenâ€s Hypertension Clinic, working with pediatric endocrinology
The position is M-F, day shift, there will be call requirements, duties could expand to a satellite clinic in the future depending on need.
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner licensure in Arizona or ability to obtain prior to start date
At least one (1) year of NP experience in pediatrics, nephrology or dialysis is preferredThis position works in collaboration with the attending physicians and works within their scope of practice to provide excellent clinical care for patients. Plays a critical role in the patient family medical team. Professional who may practice in hospitalâ€s inpatient and / or outpatient setting.
Education
Master's or Doctorate degree from an Accreditation Commission for Nursing (ACEN) and / or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited graduate school of nursing in Pediatric Acute care, Pediatric primary care or Family Medicine. (Required)Certifications
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association or obtained by start date. (Required)Current State of Arizona certification as a Nurse Practitioner or obtained by start date. (Required)National board certification to match area of education. (Required)Special Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal communication, and basic computer skills. (Required)
