About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (06 : 45 - 19 : 15)

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience required, including travel experience.

License : Valid RN license required.

Certifications : ACLS and BLS required.

Must-Have : Previous charge experience.

Description :

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will work a weekend option schedule of 7 AM to 7 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

On-call obligations will occur every other weekend.

The unit requires candidates to possess at least one year of travel experience.

Scrubs will be provided for staff.

Experience in a variety of surgical procedures is essential.

The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in the operating room.

Knowledge of fire safety, infection control, and specimen handling is required.

The nurse will need to perform various surgical procedures including, but not limited to, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and orthopedic surgeries.

The position requires flexibility to float to other like units based on facility needs.

Candidates must adhere to universal protocols, ensuring patient safety at all times.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services, is an essential aspect of the role.

Strong communication and critical thinking skills are necessary for successful patient care.
