EHS and Document Control Coordinator
We are searching for an experienced EHS and Document Control Coordinator at our Plant 23 DMP-Atlanta-GA facility.

This is a Role that will support both EHS and Quality functions, performing and initiating all activities in support of Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives, New Employee Orientation and Quality Management System training; ensuring effective and efficient compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and agencies, managing facility safety processes to protect employees, company, the environment, and provide a safe and healthy workplace. Quality portion of this role will include, Managing Document Control Process, Audit Preparation, supporting the Quality Techs and Auditors with daily task and serve as a Fill-in in the absence of personnel.
Some key responsibilities of an EHS / Document Control Coordinator may include :
- Understanding of OSHA general industry and / or construction standards, EPA regulations and related state statutes / regulations or local ordinances.
- Continually improve, evaluate, implement, and maintain health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to protect employees and comply with company, state, federal and local regulations.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and conduct safety, orientation, and quality training.
- Identify, further develop, and deliver training programs in a manner that raises employee's awareness and enables employees and supervisors to work safely.
- Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation.
- Develop and administer plant safety and environmental initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts in those areas, utilizing effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ensures daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and audits are completed as necessary to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Evaluate, assess, and update safety procedures to ensure worker safety and compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards.
- Oversee hazardous waste storage area, waste reduction monitoring, and ensure regulatory agency compliance, labeling, containments, proper disposal, and documentation.
- Conduct safety audits, provide information to parties allotted and ensure corrective actions are completed from internal and external safety audit results.
- Manage Near-Miss, First Aid, and safety programs.
- Maintaining monthly accident analysis and required reporting.
- Oversee training and safety inspections on personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Require all new materials and supply orders to include Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to evaluate new raw materials for facility use considering safety and regulatory factors.
- Maintain current revisions of all applicable SDS.
- Responsible for conducting and reporting required permits and coordinating monthly, quarterly, and yearly HSE compliance forms and testing.
- Assists plant with managing compliance to Dexter HSE programs and policies, also assist with preparation of government reports and permits / certificates.
- Ability to conduct and participate a "Root Cause" analysis and TIPSS.
- Conduct regular unannounced walk through of work areas and talk to the personnel to identify their concerns.
- Communicate safety and health issues to the workers in a manner to help them understand why they are important and addressing them is for their benefit.
- Manage facility workplace incident investigations to include responding to and reporting all incidents, incident investigations, determine root cause, establishing recurrence prevention plans, and follow through.
- Recognize and reward input from employees that improve safety and health in the workplace. Develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Issue and / or review all corresponding documentation for Dexter products as per the established procedures.
- Maintain the Document Control System and assure compliance with applicable procedures and regulations, including filing, distribution, and obsolescence, as required.
- Train personnel on the document change control process and documentation handling practices.
- Release approved changed documents according to established procedures.
- Support the Quality Techs and Auditors with daily task including Destructive testing, sorts and containment, process / product audits and reporting.
- Participates in new product development project
- Ability to obtain and maintain valid forklift and crane operation certifications in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
QUALIFICATIONS :
This positionrequires a Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Healthand Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a Comparable Degree
5years related experience and a broad knowledge ofOccupational Health and Safety; or an equivalent in combination of education andexperience.
Demonstratedknowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and managing highperformance work systems
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent computer and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Prior machine operation experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus
Experienced working in manufacturing environment
Travel up to 10%
