Pacific Wound Center is a leading podiatry practice in the Stockton area dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love.
Our team is looking for a hard-working medical assistant who will work with the physicians and other members of the practice by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties. This person will work to fulfill patient needs and ensure smooth patient flow within the practice.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients on the phone and in person
- Place patients in the exam rooms
- Take vital signs of patients
- Assist and setup up for examination, treatment, and procedures
- Keep accurate patient files
- Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by podiatrist
- Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment
- Maintain HIPAA
Requirements
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervisionStrong computer skills and use of Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a woundStrong communication skills and ability to actively listenKnowledge of medical terminology and anatomyStrong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office dutiesCustomer services skillsKnowledge of safety and sanitation proceduresEducation and Experience
