Position Overview

This position is accountable for the construction supervision of one or more highway improvement contracts in a specified geographical area within the district.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that construction projects are built according to plans specifications and departmental policies.
• Coordinates pertinent and timely information about assigned construction projects with the Supervising Field Engineer or next level of supervision as appropriate.
• Ensures documentation and records are complete to facilitate timely acceptance of the project.
• Resolves differing viewpoints arising from construction activities contract provisions or public complaints and others affected by the construction project.
• Ensures proper traffic control measures are being used.
• Ensures the safety and well-being of subordinate personnel.
• Trains motivates and evaluates assigned personnel.
• Ensures Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and labor compliance activities.
• Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
