PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Solar Electrical Journeyperson with at least 4 years working in the industrial electrical field. Must be able to be a leader and trainer on solar electrical tasks. Safety is always the first priority, so you must be able to understand and abide by all electrical safety regulations, procedures and operations. Conducting DC and MV terminations, energization, working with conduit and splicing among other electrical activities are some of the tasks that you may be responsible for in this position.
The base compensation range for this role is $53.65 per hour.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
A. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
B. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
C. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
D. Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
E. Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and / or installations
F. Repair and maintain high voltage systems
G. Organize work by receiving and studying work orders; gather tools and supplies
H. Read prints, layout work and install new service
I. Repair electrical problems by replacing faulty parts and components
J. Maintain electrical systems by conducting system tests; complete preventive maintenance requirements
K. Keep supplies ready by placing orders
L. Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with codes
M. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read technical publications
N. Accomplish maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed
O. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
P. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
Q. All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements :
A. High school diploma or GED
B. Minimum two years of related experience
C. Trade or technical school certification / diploma
D. Apprentice aptitude test
E. Union specific training (if applicable)
F. Current driver’s license
